First constructed in 1994 and last refurbished in 2017, Silver Cloud has a guest capacity of 254 and a crew capacity of 212.

FAQs about your journey with Silversea
Yes! Shore excursions, including Zodiac tours, guided walks and expert lectures are all included in Antarctic expedition fares. Depending on your itinerary, some flights and pre-/post-cruise hotels may also be included.
No, however it doesn’t specifically cater for children. Unlike major cruise lines, there are no children’s programs offered on board.
Sailings to Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and South Georgia Island all begin in South America. Some depart from Punta Arenas, Chile, while others depart from Puerto Williams, Chile. If you’re opting for a fly-cruise, then you’ll likely be departing from King George Island in the South Shetland Islands.
